Tom McTague

Tom is a local dad of three, journalist, author, podcaster and increasingly slow five-a-side footballer. Over his career he has worked at the Daily Mirror, Independent on Sunday, Politico, The Atlantic and now Unherd, where he hosts the weekly history and geopolitics podcast, These Times.

In 2017, he co-authored Betting the House, The Inside Story of the 2017 Election, which was listed by the Times as one of its political books of the year, and is now working on his second book, charting the long road to Brexit, titled: “The Conquest”. Originally from the North East, he moved to London after university and now lives in Lewisham with his wife and family.
