Andrew Spencer
Co-opted Governor
Andrew and his family moved from Australia, settled in Ladywell and became part of the Prendergast family in November 2022.
From the start of his children’s PL journey, it was a welcoming and positive experience. Staff placed his children front and centre to enable a smooth transition from Australia to London.
Andrew is a strong believer of public service and is pleased to serve as a governor to support the staff, students and carers / parents of Prendergast Ladywell during the transition from a foundation to an academy. Democratising education and giving students a 'fair go' no matter their background to achieve their academic best is incredibly important to him.
Andrew says, ‘I have been lucky enough to have a career in the theatre and live entertainment industry. I am passionate about students having access and a connection to art, media, drama, music, dance, and literature to name but a few. Creative curiosity and innovation compliment all areas of education which I am a strong advocate of. He brings to the board strong financial acumen, collaborative leadership and importantly to listen to parents, staff and students’. Andrew believes it is an honour and privilege to serve on the board.
